Leo Horoscope for July 2010

You just experienced a full moon lunar eclipse in Capricorn on July 26, and as a result, you may already see changes taking place on the job. If not, you may soon because it looks like your office will require a lot of attention. A co-worker or subordinate who reported to you may have announced a sudden departure, and you may miss having this person in your group. Now you may be charged with finding a replacement or trying to figure out how to get the work out without as many hands on deck to help.

Alternatively, it may be that you will start or finish an important assignment where you have invested a great deal of your creativity and that you care a lot about the outcome. July is often a month where things start to slow down, but at work, it is obvious things will be cranking up.

There are other possibilities. Your company may be moving to new headquarters or you may be getting new equipment or software to learn. As a fixed sign, you tend to like to keep things "as is" but our universe is based on continual change, so you might as well shrug your shoulders and show a good natured willingness to go with the flow.

The eclipse of last month is also busy highlighting your health and well being with special emphasis on bones, teeth, ears and hearing, eyes, knees, and skin conditions. If you have been promising yourself to get checked by a doctor or dentist, this month would be the ideal time to make that appointment. If you need an operation or procedure, I love that Jupiter is in a fire sign like yours. Even if Jupiter is not yet at the same degree of your Sun (maybe it is, maybe it isn't - I can't see all in your chart), ancient astrologers always felt that as long as the planet was in the same element, you had protection - so you do!

With the new (solar) eclipse due July 11, and to accent your twelfth house, ruling places of confinement (like hospitals, nursing homes, rehab treatment houses, physical therapy centers), you may be entering a facility for yourself or someone else now or in weeks to come.

The next (solar) eclipse in Cancer on July 11 is likely to have a very positive effect on you. Because it will light your subconscious mind, you are likely to see your intuition become quite sharp and insistent. Eventually it may shout that you need to take a certain action, and only later will you know why. You won't have time to unearth all the data first, so follow what that small voice within is tugging on you to do. If anyone nearby whom you had trusted has been acting under the radar, not telling you the truth, all will come out now so you can protect yourself.

The July 11 eclipse will be a new moon and will allow you to set up a whole new chapter of your life. As a Leo you always feel solar eclipses more than lunar ones, for you are ruled by the Sun. This is your moment, dear Leo, and fortunately, Jupiter, Uranus, and Mars will support that eclipse so staunchly - this is rare! If there is any habit that you know is working against you, or if you feel there is a new habit you would like to start - like going to the gym regularly - you can harness the energy of the new moon to make that determination a reality. I mentioned going to the gym because the sixth house, where the first lunar eclipse was located, highlighted all the preventive measures you take to stay healthy.

Mars is still in Virgo, so it seems your expenses are rising. This will be the last time that you will struggle with finances. Once Saturn leaves Virgo this month (hooray!) on July 21, you will feel a great weight lifted off your chest.

Saturn has pressed you to find ways to do more with less since September 2007, but a Leo never likes these kinds of life lessons. To you, budgets are evil, and you would rather have no part in them! You've been putting up with Saturn so long that the strain of dealing with a shortfall of cash has seemed nearly endless. Yet the lessons have not been in vain. You have learned a great deal about money that you can now put to good use. While the money that comes in won't immediately make you a millionaire, you will be able to take a big chip off your debts and that will be a wonderful feeling. In time you will be able to add to your stash.

Once Mars enters Libra from July 29 to September 14, your expenses will drop and your pleasure factor will rise. You'll be able to travel more, and you'll feel released from many of life's pressing responsibilities. This will be a light and breezy influence, one that will be thoroughly enjoyable.

Now let's turn to romance and relationships.

A certain relationship will be the apple of your eye at the full moon, July 25. This will be a full moon, and for once, we have a full moon brimming with sugar and spice. You may get engaged or married at that time, perhaps for your birthday. If you pop the question - or answer it - either way you will be walking on air. Indeed, this full moon will also come with support from Uranus (surprises galore) and Jupiter (happiness). This would be a fantastic weekend to get engaged or married.

If your birthday falls on or near July 25, you will benefit twice as much as other Leos born at different times of their sign.

If you are not dating, you could use this full moon to meet someone new, or you could use it to solidify a very successful, profitable business alliance. You could, for example, sign a business partner, agent, publicist or manager, or if you are the agent, sign a great talent.

Before I go, I do want to say that in addition to the full moon, one of my favorite days of the month for you will arrive on Monday, July 26, when the Sun will be in perfect sync with good fortune Jupiter. You are ruled by the Sun, so while this day will be a red-letter day for most people, you will get a double dip of luck.

On or near this day, July 26, with Jupiter in Aries, you may travel overseas or get very good news from a foreign person who is based in anther country, or conversely in your country. Either way, this person will be willing to go to bat for you. Universities and media companies - both distribute information - will also be very lucky areas for you. Jupiter is the natural ruler of your fifth house of true love, so the weekend of July 25 plus Monday, July 26, should be simply heavenly.

If you don't have someone, as said earlier, you may meet someone. You can also use these days for presenting creative ideas or working intensely on a creative project or idea - with great success. Best of all, these areas are not mutually exclusive - you can see progress on them all!

One last thought: Venus will glide through the last stages of Leo from July 1 to 9, so those days may be fun, too. If you were thinking of improving your appearance - or taking a risk, like restyling your hair - do so during this phase, when the planet of love and good looks will be at your side!

Summary

With eclipses draining everyone - the first came by last month, June 25, and the next is due July 11 - your first aim should be to keep yourself in robust health. You seem sensitive to all that's happening around you. Although you may not be the main subject of the news, you'll be close enough to someone who is being affected. You may find you are conversing with medical personnel, perhaps on behalf of a close friend or relative. This is not the month to burn your candles at both ends - don't even try. Find ways to improve your lifestyle, diet, and exercise routine. Others are depending on you, and you'll need your strength.

If someone has attempted to keep a major secret from you, all will be revealed just after July 11. At first you may think you've completely misinterpreted things, but later you will conclude you heard things right the first time. Take time to digest the news and don't feel compelled to give a quick response - all eclipses have a second act, and more information will be forthcoming. Take a "watch and wait" approach. Remember however that eclipses reveal truths, and if this eclipse finds nothing to reveal, you will sail though it easily.

Opportunities to make money overseas could come up suddenly and be quite lucrative. You may discuss topics of global concern, or work on a publishing, broadcasting, or academic project. This could be your chance to spread your influence far and wide, so study the offer closely and ask plenty of questions. The offers you get in July and August could grow to grander scale during the first five months of 2011. View the coming month as a preview of more to come.

Financially, you will spend quite a bit in July, but this may be due to purchases you put off earlier this year. The exit of Saturn from your financial sector on July 21, not to return to this house again until 2056, will spell needed relief for you - trust that your ledgers will start to become easier to balance in the future. When Saturn and Uranus (respectively) send golden beams to the Sun on July 22 and 23, you may get an instant hit of financial luck to lift your spirits.

You'll find time to think about your closest relationship in July too, and news should be outstandingly positive. Make serious plans for the future with your romantic partner over the weekend of July 24-25, when the full moon will be in your marriage sector. If you are already attached, you may take time to enjoy a little fun together. It would be a fine time to set goals and to share dreams. If you have no romantic partner, you can use this energy for forming a business alliance so strong, it would be bulletproof.

As you think about August, include some plans to take a long weekend away. Mars will enter your third house of travel on July 29 until September 14. From that point on, you'll find the soles of your shoes have wings. Fly out the door, dear Leo - it's your time!

Dates to Note for Leo:

Your best day of the month for any reason will be July 26 when the Sun and Jupiter will be in harmony and as they say, love will rule the universe!

The runner-up dates for gold stars include July 22 and 23 too, when the Sun beams Saturn and Uranus, respectively. Business luck will be high, and generally all things will go your way.

A marriage proposal or actual nuptials will take place July 24-25, or you may share visions of the future together. It's a day to draw close.

Keep health strong all month, and attend to anything that seems "off" by seeing a doctor or dentist.

You may need to help a family member or friend with a medical problem as you appear to be spending more time with medical personnel than usual.

Say goodbye to Saturn in your financial sector on July 21 - you won't miss his constant taunts that you had to deal with over the past two years.

Expenses will remain high, but only in July. By August, high spending will calm down. Your financial future seems bright - you will gain control of those pesky credit cards.

Money luck may hit like lightning on July 22 and 23.

Venus will be in Leo, favoring you for love and looks, July 1 to 9.
