Virgo Horoscope for February 2012

You've had Mars in Virgo for several months, since mid-November, and you've enjoyed having the control over events that only an energetic Mars in your sign can provide. You had built up a swift momentum on projects that are dear to you. Last month, however, you may have noticed that things were slowing down, and that approvals were taking longer to accomplish. This is because Mars went retrograde on January 23 and will continue to languish until April 13. This means plans will get delayed, so a timetable you had hoped to achieve for a plan dear to you may have to get revised.

Mars is in Virgo in your solar eighth house, but RULES your eighth house of other people's money, so somehow money - or a holdup of funds - seems to be involved in this situation. There is not much you can do about this, other than to be patient, for you will need to let the process work its way out and take as long as it needs.

There is another planet that is also affecting your finances. Saturn, now in your second house of salary and other earned income, is about to go retrograde from February 7 to June 25. This too will slow down your efforts to gain more money, but only temporarily. I am sorry to have to report this, but keep up your efforts to find ways to improve your cash flow anyway, because once Saturn leaves Libra on October 4, things will improve fairly quickly and all the work you are doing now to find more cash will pay off. I know October sounds like a long way off, but it will be here before you know it. Once Saturn leaves, Saturn will not be back to your earned income sector for many years, until September 2039.

There will be one day when news about money might come in a completely unexpected way and possibly make you quite happy and excited. That would be when Venus and Uranus are conjunct in Aries in your eighth house of other people's money on February 9. You may get an unexpected check, or win a small prize, or receive a gift that touches you. See what happens.

Last month, you may have been working very hard on projects, and as you begin February still have some details to sort through. During the first three weeks of February you will have the brilliant Sun and your ruler, Mercury, to help you tie up loose ends and keep projects humming. With planets moving into Pisces at month's end, near February 21 and later, you will need to move into collaborative mode. Although it was wonderful having Mars in Virgo, which allowed you to work on your own without being dependent on others to get things done, be conciliatory and cooperative now. Mars will be back, and when he is fully awake in late April, you will enter the best period of the year. Just hang on - your time is coming, and you won't lose anything by waiting.

The full moon February 7 (Leo, 18 degrees) will light your house of behind-the-scenes talks, and there are several different ways this full moon may play out. A piece of information that you didn't know about, but that may prove interesting, may surface now at the full moon, plus or minus four days. This full moon is not making any direct aspects to other planets, so the outcome will depend heavily on how a Leo moon at 18 degrees will fit into your own chart.

The twelfth house, where this February 7 full moon will appear, rules not only secrets, but also your health and wellbeing, especially in the psychological sense. You may decide to enter therapy to discuss a problem that has troubled you, or you may schedule surgery, go into rehab, or have physical therapy. Or you may help someone who is in the hospital or otherwise infirm. Full moons usually bring resolution quickly, which would be very welcome. Keep your health strong in the early month in any case, for you might feel your energy flag a bit. Once you get into mid-month you will be feeling much peppier.

Mercury is your ruler, and will be very chatty all month, and quite friendly almost all the time. The days when Mercury will meet with other planets will be significant, for you will find special opportunity. The week in question will be February 13 to 18, so let's talk about that too.

First, on February 13, Mercury will send Saturn a positive glance, adding stability to all that you do. Yet on the same day, Mercury will meet with Neptune too. Neptune and Saturn have very different influences. Neptune is soft, while Saturn is firm. Neptune dissolves and cleanses, while Saturn sets structure and hierarchy. Neptune, as the planet ruling the sea, is wet, while Saturn is dry. Neptune is intuitive and instinctive, while Saturn is objective and factual. Usually, when Mercury is so friendly to Saturn, it is ideal for signing a contract, but with Mercury and Neptune together on the very same day, I say, wait. Sign nothing on February 13.

Still, the link between Neptune and Mercury will make you highly creative and imaginative on February 13, and Saturn will help you create a plan for a major project or sale of a creative piece of work.

The fact that Mercury and Neptune are coming together near Valentine's Day is sweet, for this is will be a glamorous vibration. Someone special whom you love or care about very much may send you a very romantic message or, better yet, you may hear a confession of love transmitted in person, and when you do, it may be quite an unforgettable moment.

Later, on either February 16-17, you will have a standout day when Mercury will signal Jupiter in your ninth house of travel and international relationships. This would be an incredibly positive time to travel or to make a deal with anyone, but especially someone based overseas. If you are speaking to officials in academia or reporters, editors, or producers in the media, you will do equally well. This will be a spectacular day, and things should go really well for you. If you need to sign a contact, do so today, or better yet, wait until February 25, your best day of the month on so many levels! (More about February 25-26 in a minute.)

On February 21, the new moon in Pisces (3 degrees) will occur in your marriage / partnership / collaboration sector, and it will be one of the best of the year for forging an alliance. This new moon will reach out to both Jupiter and Pluto, making this a heavenly time to get engaged or married. If you are already married, you may want to set up new goals or take a memorable, possibly life-changing vacation together. I love that idea of traveling together - it's a theme that will keep coming up now. All new moons bring two weeks of energy, although the first week is the stronger of the two, so keep that in mind.

This same new moon of February 21 can be used to help you set up a business alliance, and if you do, it would be special, as Pluto and Jupiter will be perfectly harmonious with this new moon, which is rare, and always spells success. Go forward - whatever you are discussing now is unusual and important - and proceed with talks.

If your birthday falls on August 25, plus or minus five days, you will be in a position to benefit most from this new moon.

Next month Mercury will go retrograde from March 12 to April 4, so you will want to act in February to avoid all dealings in the second half of March.

February's last weekend, February 25-26, will be the sweetest and happiest of all, thanks to the Sun's signal to Jupiter. Again, this would be a glorious time to take a trip - see if you can go somewhere, as your time together would be divine. If you have to travel for business, your trip will likely bring outstanding profits. Whether for business or pleasure, the accommodations should be superb. This is a powerful day, when all sorts of international talks go well, or when you can have a memorable meeting with an authority figure in academia, publishing, or broadcasting.

There's more - on Tuesday, February 28, Pluto, now in your solar fifth house of true love, will reach out to the Sun and create a sparkling background for love. If single, this day would be the right day to be out and about, showing your face to the world. If you have already found true love, you may now decide to bring a new baby into the world or devote yourself fully to a creative project that becomes your "baby" in a different sense.

Most romantic dates: February 3-4, 8, 9. 12, 16 (gold star) 17, 18, 21, 24, 25-26 (four-stars), 27, and 28.

As you see, this month strongly accents your ability to form powerful bonds with at least one other person. You can grow in mastery over your creativity, or form a very powerful alliance for your future.

Summary

February begins in a low-key way. That may be very good news, for a quiet routine will allow you to follow along on your own agenda without fear that something will come up to blow you off course. As cold winds blow, hunker down inside where it's cozy warm, put on a pot of tea, and sit down to get things done.

A full moon in your twelfth house of solitude on February 7 will allow you to accomplish much. You will have the needed quiet time to think and strategize about what you'd like to do in months ahead. In the meantime, you do need more rest, so don't push - your resistance is low, so listen carefully to your body and follow what it tells you to do.

You may want to focus on your health and mental wellbeing now too, which would be a superb idea. If anything has troubled you, you can find the right professional to help you sort through the problem.

Mars is now in Virgo, but is retrograde, so you may have to be patient as obstacles and delays come up. Again, these will give you time to think and to fix any small flaws that you catch in current projects. The Virgos who use this extra time to their advantage will come out ahead. Come mid-April, the time Mars will turn direct, you'll be back in the driver's seat, without a moment to spare. As you think about coming months, design flexible blueprints now that you can keep refining as you go along.

Neptune will enter your solar partnership sector on February 3, to stay until January 26, 2026! This is a long and monumental new trend that you'll have lots of time to think and decide how best to use. It's an exciting, highly creative trend you'll enjoy.

You will have a number of wonder-days this month, and the first set that stands out will come on February 16 or 17, two days when your ruler, Mercury, will align with good fortune Jupiter. This day can be used to travel, give a speech, or sign a contract. Many Virgos love to write or edit, so you may want to put the final touches on an important written document. A collaborator, such as a business partner, editor, art director, writing partner, agent, lawyer, or other key person, will likely lead you to your good fortune.

After February 21, you may see the power of Neptune's presence in your partnership house, when you may explore the idea of a creative collaboration, say, to work on a book, screenplay, theatrical performance, or other artistic project. Working with someone who complements your talents will be a fine way to work with Neptune, and you may see this to be a theme that will grow in coming months and years.

Your schedule will pick up speed after the new moon arrives February 21, and at that time your desire to form a close relationship (if you have one) will take shape. This new moon may find you discussing an engagement or wedding, or the formation of an important business partnership or alliance.

Put a big red circle on February 24 and 25 when Jupiter and the Sun will enliven your travel sector. Days later, when Pluto meets with the Sun on your behalf on February 28, another special day is due. Just when you think to yourself, "I never meet anyone?" - you do! Look your best at month's end whether you are zooming around town or flying to other cities. The planets will be acting like little matchmakers to help you see your wishes come true.

Money has not been your favorite subject over the past two years, but your cash flow should improve once Saturn leaves your income sector in early October. In the meantime, do your best to find bargains and get the most from the money you do have now. This tough love planet teaches the value of frugality, and by now you must have learned a thing or two about buying below retail!

On your lucky financial day, February 9, you might find money on the sidewalk, or you might find you won a small prize when Venus links to Uranus. Even if you never buy raffle or lottery tickets, you might indulge in one or two on this lucky-for-Virgo day. Don't bet the farm, however - if you are lucky, you are lucky, and you won't have to push too hard to see this to be true.

Single Virgo will love the developments of the weekend of February 25-26 and 29.

Mars continues his journey through Virgo through early July - you are in the driver's seat, but things get even better after April 13.

A romantic relationship may get serious after the new moon February 21.

Neptune enters your committed relationship sector February 3 - for fourteen years! Be sure the person you love is being truthful. You may be very inspired by your partner. During this exciting trend, you may decide to do a creative collaboration quite profitably.

If hoping to conceive a baby and going through in-vitro medical procedures, avoid doing so when Saturn is retrograde February 7 to June 25. It's better to wait until after June 25.

Why My Book Is Late

All year I was listening hard to all that you asked me on Twitter and Facebook. I realized how valiantly you were all coping with the challenges that a difficult world economy had wrought, and how dearly you needed to know which areas of your life would be bring you the greatest progress and happiness.

I had a manuscript almost ready, but thinking about your words, I felt I had to add much more material to it. What you asked me and what you said on my social networking pages kept echoing in my mind. So in November, I announced to my team I was lengthening the book dramatically. I was adding chapters and doubling each sign's chapter from what I had already written, which are now almost four times as long as my regular Astrology Zone forecasts. Only you can be the judge of what I have done, but I feel this book, still in progress, is the best book I have ever written. It would be easier if I didn't have to stop to write 40,000 words for Astrology Zone each month, but of course, I would always do that!

I set out to create a book that would help you every day of the year. Why, I asked myself, write a good book when I could stretch and push myself to create a great one for you. By now you know I am a perfectionist. My revamped book is the very best I have ever done. It is not finished yet, but I am working every day around the clock on it. It will be wrapped in joy and happiness and it will be of value to you. I have no idea when it will be done, but I know there is great urgency. I am working every minute on it.

There are authors of books out there that pretend to be my book and many of you have written to say you bought their book in error. You only noticed when, you said, it didn't sound like me. My book, a quality paperback book, is not sold in stores; you can only get it here on my website. To create my book and calendar, and to prepare for my talks, I memorized 312 charts (13 lunar months times 12 signs, times two lunations each month: a new moon and a full moon). I started this in April. I memorize all the aspects because sometimes something happening in one part of the sky will influence an aspect happening in another part of the sky - no aspect can be taken alone, by itself. For example, last year, on what was to be the luckiest day of the year, April 6 (Jupiter conjunct the Sun), we also had Saturn opposed to the Sun on the same day, completely washing out the happiness of the luckiest day of the year. I didn't even discuss it in my book - how could I? You see how I have to be vigilant to all parts of the sky for you - you are depending on me to do my homework thoroughly.

Many of you know my mother was extremely ill with pneumonia this summer and in intensive care and then in a nursing home for physical therapy for four weeks. My sister and I were at her side every day to help bring her back to her former strong health by showing her love and attentiveness to all her medical matters, and when she could eat, we brought homemade meals. Little Mom is well now. She is home, and doctors, who were ready to give up on her, cannot get over the remarkable recovery she has made.

I don't regret one minute the time I gave her to get her well again, even though it did take time away from my writing. She has no one but my sister and I to depend upon - together we worked as a team to get Little Mom well. This year the holidays were especially poignant, as we watched her blue eyes sparkle with delight in being with her four grandchildren, who had gathered around her at home to give her love, presents, and kisses.

Discover your rising sign, the most important element to learn!

If you don't know your rising sign, you won't get quite as much out of my monthly forecasts on Astrology Zone or my daily forecasts on cell phones (or delivered to your email box daily by Daily Astrology Zone). You could also get so much more from my Year Ahead 2012 book if you know your rising sign, as a rising sign helps to set up some of the timing in a chart.

To have your chart done, you would need to know your precise time of birth, to the minute. If you do know it, then you would be wise to have your natal chart done. Once you do, you can memorize your rising sign, for it will never change. This explains why all Aries are not alike, or all Gemini - we are all a beautiful, rich combination of the rising sign and Sun sign, as well as a tapestry of the other planets. On the day you were born, the pattern in the sky will never be repeated in time or space - you are truly unique. What a magical piece of information!

Your natal chart will never change - it stays the same for life! You need only do your natal chart once and never again. Once you do have your chart, you will get more insight into your innate gifts and personality strengths.
