Gemini Horoscope for November 2008

In November, you will be on top of your game. Like Superman, you will feel like you could leap tall buildings in a single bound. The new moon that fell last month on October 28 is now pushing you forward with enormous energy. Your career, especially, should start speeding forward, with juicy assignments soon to come your way. When they show up, they will be just your cup of tea. At long last, things are beginning to click into place.
There will be another emphasis too, one that will find you serious about fitness and health, and in that regard, finally, you can expect to see solid results from all the effort you have made in past months. If you have been trying to lose weight and get fit, seeing this happen will make you VERY motivated and happy.
First, let's look at your work life. Assignments will flow in and you will want to tackle them with gusto. The new moon of October 28 was one of my favorites of 2008 because it was so very friendly to several planets. In your case, this new moon is capable of giving you the right kind of work assignments, ones that will take you into new realms in the coming 12 months. They won't be any old assignments - these will have legs and take you to new and better places in your career.
Because that new moon coincided with a lovely communication between Mars and Jupiter, it gave you confidence, enthusiasm, and energy to burn. Jupiter will help to ensure you would be paid well and that the job has status connected to it, too. Pluto was also cordial to that new moon, so there's a chance that masses of people will see your work. What more could you ask?
You've been working VERY hard with Mars in your sixth house, a trend that started way back on October 4. Friends have been leaving messages on your answering machine, but you don't have the time to call them back. Not to have a moment to breathe can be frustrating, but you don't have much of a choice.
I am reminded of the story about Steve Jobs back in 1997 when he was called back to save Apple. It was a high stress time for Steve, a period that lasted years, and at the time it was widely known that Steve grew a beard so that he wouldn't have to spend his precious time in the morning shaving. Every minute counted, and you understand this concept this month, too. Steve's pressure-cooker period lasted much longer than yours, but I am sure you can sympathize. With the pounding pressure you've been under to produce lately - to work faster and better - you are probably thinking up ways to save time on every task, too.
By the time Mars finally leaves your workaday sector on November 12, you will be able to breathe a sigh of relief. At long last, you won't have to go to such desperate measures to save time! Life will calm down to a more manageable level, thank goodness! Before it does, you will rack up some amazing accomplishments. The praise that comes your way will be well deserved, too.
All the planets are moving into the perfect position to help you make a huge professional victory. Months ago, on May 26, Neptune, the ruler of your career sector, went retrograde, which means it shut down for a rest. No matter how hard you tried to score a few victories, you had to be patient. All your patience and perseverance paid off because on November 2 Neptune will go direct, and within the days you will see at least one exciting development take root.
On top of this, adding more oomph is Uranus, the planet of surprise - and also the one planet that has the power to make you famous if you want that - is visiting your house of fame and honors. Uranus will also go direct this month. This is remarkable, because Uranus has been retrograde since June 26 and will go direct on November 27. All the pieces of your puzzle will slip into place at month's end, much to your delight. Month's end should be a fine turning point for your career, so much so you may want to mark the moment with a proper celebration.
Before you get to the end of November, you will encounter a sprinkling of important days that we need to note, so let's look at those now.
The opposition of Uranus and Saturn on November 4 will be a monumental moment because these two planets have not been in the same type of opposition since 1965-67. You may feel that the obligations you have made to family members are holding you back from moving as far ahead in your career as you'd like. Certainly there will be a push-pull between the two areas of your life, home versus career, and only you can decide how best to find the right balance.
This aspect will occur again at certain intervals in the coming year, specifically on February 5 and September 15, as well as three times in the year after that, on April 26, July 26, and December 5, 2010. As you see, this will be a very long trend that is just starting up, one that all signs will feel in different ways, so we all will have to come to grips with the challenges presented.
In that sense, Uranus will be pushing you harder to be an innovative pathfinder in your career. At the same time, Saturn will be staring directly at Uranus from 180 degrees across the sky in exact opposition. Saturn will remind you that there are family members who deeply love you and depend on you. You are a towering figure to your family, and you shape their very lives and their futures, and by that I mean both the very young and the very old in your family.
Of course, looking at your chart, trying to bridge career and your home life at a time when so much is bursting open for you in your career won't be easy. This is a theme you will meditate about over the coming months, and you will have plenty of time to experiment with different approaches to this question.
Saturn is based in your home sector at the very bottom of your chart (where the number 6 would be on a clock). This is not the drawback that you might assume, but rather will make you feel very grounded and anchored, with a strong and solid base.
Although you may be assuming the family obligations you have taken on in your home are holding you back, it actually appears that the opposite is true. Saturn is helping you build a stable platform on which to build the castle of your dreams, whatever that castle may be to you. Without that stable floor on which to build, your life would rest on sand, making all you do rock to and fro. Be grateful for the anchor that Saturn has provided you these days. You are clearly a well-rounded individual with depth and dimension, and this is what makes you so lovable and attractive. Your ability to function well in many roles in life actually helps you become more resourceful, so never see this as a drawback.
On November 10, you may get financial news, or an actual check, that will make you realize that you were on track all along. It's great to see financial reward for your hard work, so enjoy your bounty.
The full moon in Taurus on November 13 may find you feeling a little low and in need of rest. If you recall, this is the point in the month that Mars will exit your work sector after nearly seven weeks of applying extra pressure, so it's no wonder you would feel worn out at this full moon in your twelfth house.
If you usually get a flu shot every year because your doctor thinks this is a good idea, then be sure to get one the moment the month begins, near November 1. Don't wait until you start to feel low - medical professionals say it takes three weeks for the shot to work. We are moving into holiday time, and you will want to be strong. So if you start to feel a bit "off," stop and rest and do what you need to do to feel better.
At this same full moon you may hear an interesting piece of gossip that could help unravel a mystery. You'll probably have to keep it all confidential, but it does appear there is some truth to what you hear.
While we are on the topic of full moons, I need to warn you about a very tough full moon due next month on December 12. It will fall in Gemini and bring enormous tensions to bear on everyone, but especially the mutable signs, Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, and Pisces. I am so sorry to tell you this, and even considered not telling you at all. After thinking about this, I feel I have to so that you can plan your schedule. That's a popular time to buy presents, ship from the post office, or to put up Christmas decorations, and from where I sit, all these activities won't get done because you will suddenly and quite unexpectedly have to attend to something more urgent.
Here is how to deal with this full moon. Get all your shopping done earlier, prior to December 12, because once it arrives, your full attention will be unexpectedly directed elsewhere, throwing all your holiday plans into a spanner. Everyone will be in the same boat on this - this full moon is a doozy.
I suggest you buy ALL your presents and have them ALL wrapped and hidden away by December 9. Ship no later than December 9 because if you planned to do so over the weekend of December 13-14, that won't likely happen. Fortunately this date falls far enough away from Christmas and Hanukkah that you will be able to regain your balance in time for the holiday.
However, if you have children depending on Santa's visit, you will want to telephone the North Pole as early as possible to be sure Santa has gifts under the tree for your little ones, right? You wouldn't want to plan to shop at the last minute when you have children so excited about the holiday. What would happen if you were too busy to shop at the last minute? Also, why pay high shipping rates when you can put the money you save into the gifts? I worry that you will be online doing a lot of last minute shopping and perhaps not finding what you need.
How will this full moon affect you precisely? I am not sure, as it is falling in your sign of Gemini, affecting something dearly important to you, as well as your vitality. I will be important to watch your health as you get closer to this date. Also keep a close eye on the wellbeing of an elderly relative on December 12, plus or minus four days. Your work life may also be very pressured at that time too and make you feel stressed and in need of relief. The closer you were born to June 14, the more you will feel this full moon. We will talk about it more next month, but in the meantime, see if you can clear your calendar so that you can deal with whatever comes up at that time.
Now let's return to November, because you have some really sweet days to circle on your calendar and I don't want you to forget them!
On November 14 or 15, more incredible news about how well you are doing in your career comes your way, and when you hear it you will want to shout it from the rooftops. This would be an ideal time to be traveling, too - perhaps you will be taking a spontaneous trip over the weekend of November 15-16. If so, everything you do will turn to gold!
By the second half of the month, you'll have more time to think about your own personal life, and that's a switch, eh? Your partner seems to be feeling a little needy, so lavish some attention on him or her in the coming weeks. (This is understandable - no one has seen you for weeks, not even your partner!)
The new moon on November 27 will allow you to move forward with all sorts of partnerships and agreements, whether business or personal in nature. All collaborations will shine brightly, and if you are self-employed, you may even open talks with another company for a joint venture.
Naturally this would be an ideal time to become engaged, and no doubt many Gemini readers will either accept or give a proposal! Statistics show that most couples announce an engagement at Christmas or Hanukkah, so it's possible you and your sweetheart will plan to marry now but announce your engagement to your family and friends next month, enjoying the secret for a few weeks. That works! Sounds amazingly romantic!
If you were born on May 27, you will benefit most from this new moon, but all Gemini will have something to cheer about.
If you are single and not dating, you may have extra luck on Friday, November 28, when Venus will be in such a light and sexy mood. The day before should be sweet, too.
Financially and in your career, the news could not be better on Friday, November 28, when Venus and Uranus will be so beautifully angled. You may get news one day earlier, on November 27. Your name will be on everyone's lips and a check you receive on or near this day will be all the proof you need that you will be doing very well indeed.
Lastly, there is a stunningly positive day coming up on Monday, December 1, that I want you to know about now. On this day, Venus and Jupiter will have their annual meeting, and for you this spells more c-a-s-h! Money falls from the heavens like confetti, and I doubt you even see this coming. It's such a strong and rare day that I will do something I rarely do: suggest you buy one or two lotto tickets.
You may want to get a scratch-off ticket because you will need to hear the results of the contest that day, December 1, or one day earlier, November 30. This is such a fortunate day for you that you should feel like a million dollars, even if you don't win a prize! Any sort of financial talks would go well on this glittering day.
Romance will be best: November 5-6, 9, 10, 13-14, 15, 27-28, and 30.

You've come through some rough months, but November brings happy news and sweet relief. At work, you'll be alert and eager to get started on new projects that will soon flow your way in early November. There'll be a lot to do, so the more organized you are, the better. Still, your pure enthusiasm will be contagious and earn you gold stars from your boss. Thanks to a fabulous confluence of good energy between Jupiter and Mars, if you are self-employed, you will make money from those assignments. If you work for others, you may be paid overtime, or later win a bonus, for the fine work you do at this time.
At the full moon, November 13, it will be a time to relax and take life a little easier. You may be running yourself down, so book an appointment on (or near) this date for a spa treatment, if that's possible. Plan to spend a low-key weekend November 15-16.
That same period, November 14-16, should bring very good career news, for your ruler, Mercury, will be beautifully angled to Uranus, planet of surprise. You may take a little trip at that time too, and if so, even if it's done for work, do your best to make it a luxurious and pampering experience. If you go for work - and it's possible - you will still likely enjoy the accommodations and other elements of your trip. All should be excellent, so try something new.
Simultaneously, over the same weekend, November 15-16, you will get astounding, unexpected news about a sensational career victory! A bonus or fee that also comes your way should please you, and seems to come through a middleman, agent, or other person.
Have you felt that your career progress has been slow, but you haven't been able to determine why? The answer is two powerful planets - Neptune and Uranus - that have hovered over your career reputation in lethargic retrograde orbit over the past five months. Remarkably, both will go direct now, making November a true turning point for your professional matters.

If you are already in an established relationship, you'll want to find more ways to make more of the relationship. All sorts of partnerships glow, so move forward and open talks. You may need months to finally crystallize things, but don't give up - it looks like you will. Your timing couldn't be better.
